Bibio - Silver Wilkinson

English producer Stephen Wilkinson, better known as Bibio, released his seventh studio album Tuesday on Warp Records, entitled Silver Wilkinson. Bibio has always been a tough cat to nail down; his productions occupy that space between organic songwriter and digital manipulator. Some have labeled it electro-pop, and others as "folktronica," but I just call it serious summer vibe shit. Sample two tracks from the album below.

"You" is an upbeat, sunny day hip-hop beat with just the right amount of funk. Bibio creatively re-purposes vocals sampled from a classic Commodores tune, turning the vintage candlelight smooth-jam into a head-bouncing track.


The acoustic guitar driven “A tout a l’heure” finds Bibio reveling in pop bliss, with an incredibly infectious vocal melody.
