On April 16th, Friends of Friends released the debut LP, entitled Yore, from Nathan Broaddus, who produces under the name Evenings. That moniker is fitting, because the music conveys a certain serenity and meditative one-ness that you might experience while watching the sun set, maybe from a majestic hilltop. The closest comparison I can make off the top of my head is to Baths, especially because of the prominent use of layered guitar sounds in some of the tracks, such as "Softly We Go" (listen below), but Evenings is a more minimalist take on that style.
The album can be purchased in digital format as well as 12" vinyl from Friends of Friends' Bandcamp. Listen to the tracks "Babe" and "Softly We Go" below.
